Weed is legal in 2 states!

I’m overjoyed to say the least that this miracle drug we have come to know, and to know when to talk about it, has been legalized in 2 states. On this glorious year of 2012, Colorado, and Washington states legalized this awesome weed to people over the age 21. You can carry and have up to an ounce at a time, but be warned, this is only at state level so far, so the feds can still wreck your day if they really want to.

I’m just curious how the hell these states passed this law, but Oregon or even CALIFORNIA didnt legalize it yet. Obviously this is in the near future if we are counting the popular vote in the country, and looking at how things have gone in the past, Washington passes something, then the next year, California, then Oregon, with some margin for error there. My thought is that this will be the beginning of the end of a 75 year old prohibition on Cannabis.

They say that they will be enforcing the roads with blood tests to ensure the safety of other drivers. Instead of a breath test, which to me doesnt make any sense, since it can take upwards of a month for the active ingredient THC (the part that gets you high) to leave you body. I will have to do research and see how long it takes to leave the blood specifically. All in all this is the biggest win in social history in 40 years. This to me is equally as important as Civil rights, Womans rights, Freedom of Speach, Gay Rights and so much more. Weed can cure cancer, it can cure many things. In fact, the reason i began smoking it was because of its miracle like affect on a lifelong sleeping disorder i have. It puts me to sleep when no other drug short of prescription medication would do. I have also met some of the most interesting people i know over a nice toasty bowl.
